OPI Russian Navy Suede

Hello! Happy 4th of July! And for everyone who doesn’t celebrate it, I hope you are having a good Wednesday anyway! I have the day off which is always nice, I don’t think we’ll be going anywhere today, just getting some stuff done around the house.

Instead of doing red, white and blue on my nails, I tried to do some fireworks.

I did one coat of OPI Russian Navy Suede and used tape and the Layla holos to create the “fireworks”, unfortunately applying the Laylas over the suede seems to have killed the holo, so they don’t show up as much as I wanted. And my pinky got a bit messed up too because the tape moved. The Laylas are Ultra Violet, Ocean Rush, Mercury Twilight, and Jade Groove.

I tried under different lighting but the holo didn’t come out much, maybe using top coat over Russian Navy would help, I’ll have to try that next time.
