Elevation Polish Rue Manin

17 Jun

Hi guys! I really need to feature more Elevation polishes here, all the ones I’ve gotten so far are so pretty and unique! Here is one of them, Rue Manin.

Elevation Polish Rue Manin

Rue Manin has a mix of purple square and hexes in a light purple jelly base with shimmery flakes. The glitter was easy to get out and apply, and it dried very glossy on its own (I still used topcoat for these pictures though).

I used two coats but due to the jelly base it is still a bit sheer. Next time I would definitely try it over a matching base color.

Elevation Polish has a store here, and the restocks are every 7th and 22nd of the month.

Thanks for looking! :)

NerdLacquer Cold & Calculating

15 Jun

In the last post I showed you Nars Purple Rain, after a couple of days I got some tip wear but I thought it would be a good base for NerdLacquer Cold & Calculating, which I managed to get in restock a few months ago.

Cold & Calculating has a dark purple shimmery base with a mix of hexes in silver and purple. I applied one coat over Nars Purple Rain. As has been the case with all my other NerdLacquers, I fell in love with this as soon as I applied it, it’s really stunning!
Unfortunately, Amanda hasn’t updated her Google+ page in over two months, so I don’t when/if there will be a restock. Hopefully everything’s ok, and she’ll update us soon.

Thanks for looking!

Nars Purple Rain

13 Jun

I’ve had this polish for a while but for some reason never tried it until now, maybe because it’s one of the pricier polishes I’ve bought, but since I bought I should just use it and enjoy right? :P

Nars Purple Rain

Two coats of Nars Purple Rain, it had a good and easy application and was pretty much opaque in one coat. The square cap was awkward to hold and use, but no issues with the polish itself. The color is beautiful, it just glows from within!

I wish I had tried this sooner, I love the purple base color on its own but with the red, blue and purple shimmer it’s just gorgeous!

The Polish Bar Satellite

11 Jun

Hello! Hope your week is going good so far, mine is a bit slow but otherwise good. I have a holographic glitter polish from The Polish Bar to show you today.

The Polish Bar Satellite

Satellite has a lightly tinted pink base, I layered one coat over Color Club Hey Gorgeous, a shimmery red. It’s made up of holographic microglitter and holo hexes in green, blue, pink, and silver. It applied well with a nice amount of glitter for one coat.

I loved looking at this when the sun was out, the holo glitters really flashed and sparkled, and you probably know how much I like anything holographic! :)

The Polish Bar has an Etsy store, which is currently open. Full size polishes retail for $8.50.

Products in this post were purchased by me.

Adventures in Stamping: Complimentary Colors

9 Jun

Hi guys! I haven’t participated in an Adventures in Stamping challenge for a while, but I checked the challenge for this weekend and had an idea. There is no story or explanation behind this, it was just the first thing I thought of so I went with it!

Zoya PixieDust Destiny stamped with OPI Swimsiut...Nailed It! and DRK-B

I love blue and orange together so I used Zoya PixieDust Destiny (I’ve seen it described as a red coral but it looks orange to me!), and sponged the tips with OPI Swimsuit…Nailed It! The stamping was done with a butterfly image from plate DRK-B and Swimsuit…Nailed It! I was hoping the image would be more clear but due to the texture it’s a little hard to see.

And here it is with two coats of Seche Vite

While still on the fence about all the texture polishes coming out, I love the sparkly shimmery finish of the PixieDust polishes!

Thanks for looking! :)
