Susy In Color

It’s the last day of the challenge today!! The challenge was to re-create your favorite challenge, I thought about this for a while because there were several I’d like to try again but finally decided on the rainbow challenge.

I used the same polishes and process as in the original challenge, but I tried doing some white clouds on the bottom and ended up not liking them so I sponged over them. I think my dots are starting to look better!

So that was the 31 Day Challenge, I know it took me forever to finish it but I had lots of fun and I got to try some new things that I probably would not have tried by myself.

For a while now I’ve wanting to try Wacky Laki’s Blue Jeans tutorial, and today’s challenge seemed the right time to finally give it a try!

Here are my Blue Jeans nails!

I applied China Glaze First Mate for the blue base and used Wet n Wild French White Creme for the sponging and details. It’s not as neat as hers but not too bad for the first try. I need more practice with the toothpick, I’m not sure my pocket looks much like a pocket!

My index finger is still icky so I cropped it out of the first picture, but at least the cut doesn’t hurt anymore. And there is only one challenge left, it’s been lots of fun!

For this inspired by the supernatural challenge, I thought of some fairy like images in my Red Angel stamping set, fairies are supernatural right?
I’m only taking pictures of three fingers because I got a nasty papercut right at the cuticle on my index finger, so I don’t want to paint it and it looks all swollen anyway.

I started with Sinful Colors Black on Black as my base color. Then I applied a light coat of Lynnderella Bride of Franken (I love this so much!!). For the stamping I used Color Club Lumin-icecent, Foil Me Once and Perfect Mol-ten and images from plates RA-111, RA-112, and RA-113. I added some random flakies around the edges with Finger Paints Motley. I really love how this turned out so I have a few more pictures!

I love how from different angles I can see the flakies and the tiny holo glitter, it’s so pretty!

Today’s nails are inspired by a flag, and I chose the flag from Peru since that’s where I’m from. The flag has three vertical stripes in red, white and red, so this a very simple design.

I freehanded the stripes with Wet n Wild French White Creme (I’m using this a lot during this challenge), and China Glaze Hey Sailor. I should have used tape or something so the lines would be more straight!

Today’s nails are based on a painting we have hanging above of our fireplace. My husband got it at an auction a couple of years ago, and I wasn’t sure about it back then but now I like how it looks in our living room!

I flipped the first picture around because I painted this upside down and didn’t notice until I was almost done. I probably shouldn’t paint my nails right after taking my medicine (I’m starting to feel better though)!
I started with a coat of Wet n Wild French White Creme, and then sponged several different polishes. I already forgot everything I used, some of them were Essie Borrowed and Blue, Orly Mint Mojito, Zoya Yummy. I used a brush and Color Club Artsy Crafty for the trees.
