Adventures in Stamping: Complimentary Colors

9 Jun

Hi guys! I haven’t participated in an Adventures in Stamping challenge for a while, but I checked the challenge for this weekend and had an idea. There is no story or explanation behind this, it was just the first thing I thought of so I went with it!

Zoya PixieDust Destiny stamped with OPI Swimsiut...Nailed It! and DRK-B

I love blue and orange together so I used Zoya PixieDust Destiny (I’ve seen it described as a red coral but it looks orange to me!), and sponged the tips with OPI Swimsuit…Nailed It! The stamping was done with a butterfly image from plate DRK-B and Swimsuit…Nailed It! I was hoping the image would be more clear but due to the texture it’s a little hard to see.

And here it is with two coats of Seche Vite

While still on the fence about all the texture polishes coming out, I love the sparkly shimmery finish of the PixieDust polishes!

Thanks for looking! :)

(Sorry about the blurry pictures, not sure why they all came out blurry!)
I used Zoya Arizona and Breezi and added the interlocking dots with a dotting tool. I wanted to do this for a while and it was really easy to do!

Rainbow Honey Hoof Wrassle

23 Mar

Hi guys! It’s bright and sunny (finally!) out today, so in weather like this I like to pull out some bright oranges!

Rainbow Honey Hoof Wrassle

This is two coats of Rainbow Honey Hoof Wrassle over OPI A Roll In The Hague. Hoof Wrassle has a shimmery orange base with gold and copper square and hex glitter in different sizes. There is some holographic glitter in as well that sparkles in the sunlight.

Love this orange combo! Hoof Wrassle was easy to apply and I got a nice mix of small and large glitters.

Rainbow Honey polishes are available at http://www.rainbowhoney.com for $10 ea.

31DC – Day 13: Your Cheer Yourself Up Mani

17 Mar

Hello everyone! Today, the challenge is to do your “cheer yourself up mani”, and this is what I came up with.

Bright oranges always look so happy and cheery to me that I knew I wanted to include that as my main color. Then I added some flowers with a dotting tool because flowers always make me happy, and they really cheer me up now everytime I see them coming out in my yard. The flowers don’t look as small and neat as they did in my head but they are ok. The colors I used are OPI A Roll in the Hague, and for the flowers Wet n Wild French White Creme and China Glaze Lighthouse.

Happy Hands The Swamp

4 Nov

Hello! I have a quick post featuring a Happy Hands polish today, this is actually the first polish I saw from this brand and it made me check out the store and make my first purchase. :)

Happy Hands The Swamp

This one is called The Swamp, I think it’s very appropriately named! Its a jelly orange base with hex glitter in blue, green, orange and some white squares. It was a bit thick and still bumpy after one coat of SV, but it applied easily. Most of the glitter seemed to have sunk to the bottom so I gave it a good shake before applying and I was able to get all the glitter out without issues.

I think The Swamp has a fall-ish look to it!
Happy Hands has an Etsy store and a Facebook page to keep up with updates. And I believe Harlow & Co will be stocking Happy Hands very soon too!
